""Neüstonia by Burn River Burn Would Fit Right Into A 90’s Slasher Movie""

"If you can’t imagine what it’s like to be chased through a metal album, the adrenaline-fueled songs on Neüstonia will definitely get you there without issue. The band’s alternative metal rock style flows well with their dark, pungent lyrics, and had my attention throughout the entire eleven-track album. I am very much looking forward to following this band’s career as they continue to release hard-hitting music." - Jeremy Handel, Mcleod Media

"From live interview"

"These guys really have a unique and eclectic sound and that's something that really captured my attention when I listened to the album. Something that make them really stand out to me personally is that they are combining many elements of Rock, post-grunge, blues, even southern rock and classic rock...will really appeal to the masses." - Kerri Edelman

""Big L’s CD review of Burn River Burn’s latest release on Pavement Records, Neustonia!""

"It’s hard to put a label on the band’s sound because Burn River Burn incorporates a ton a genres together to make it their own unique sound. Included in the mix is a heavy dose of Texas groove complete with harmonica (“Into the Vein”). Meanwhile there is a definite grunge overtone accompanied by that Black Sabbath sludge from the 70’s. Throw in some blues and you have Burn River Burn. There isn’t much that Neüstonia doesn’t offer the true rock-n-roll fan...It’s definitely worth garnering a spot in your musical library." - The Big L, The Rustbelt Chronicles

""BURN RIVER BURN - Neüstonia (Album)""

"...the dual guitars deliver pervasive riffs, and the vocals are powerful and vivid. I can feel some of the influences on listening but this is definitely not tired or dated...This album is a mixed bag of slow burn and outright metal onslaught." - Maria Glover, Down the Front Media

"From live interview"

"Sounds fresh...Its everything we need in music...'Sworn to Silence': Oh my god!" - Arroe Collins

It’s got pulsating riffs, gut punching beats, hypnotic melodies and in your face vocals all delivering you that hard rock sound. You can tell that the band has some Soundgarden/Alice in Chains type influences flowing through their music and it’s all packaged nicely in their own unique style. Give it a listen...and don’t forget to follow and share the band. If you're not following BURN RIVER BURN then you're missing out on some amazing #music." - Ash, The Music Below

"Industry Review of Neüstonia"

"Brutal riffs, punishing beats, gut-wrenching vox.  Burn River Burn delivers a record worthy of this years' top picks in the realm of heavy metal." - Mike Wells, Mastering Engineer (Green Day, STS9)

"Independent Music Review"

"The band’s sound is as filthy and dark as the [Cuyahoga, for which they are named] river, featuring a highly melodic and aggressive brand of metallic hard rock that is built upon a foundation of thundering Black Sabbath-like stoner rock riffs and incorporates everything from psych rock and southern rock to 90’s grunge for a heavy, nostalgia-laced sound that will have you reaching for the repeat button after your very first listen." - Justin Kreitzer

"Blog Review"

"BRB is an American band founded in 2009. Originally from Cleveland, they have since landed in SF.

The 5 play hard stoner rock and with influences ranging from Black Sabbath to Soundgarden...they have their own style heard in tracks where the powerful guitar of Chuck Howell and Ray Morgan are to the fore - as in "American Standard".

I also like their motto: 'if your amps aren't taller than you, you're doing something wrong'. How true is that?

A few weeks ago BRB released their debut, eponymous 10 track album with tunes and vibes that range from the pseudo-ballad "Killing Time" - where solid guitar riffs are gilded with beautiful keyboard melodies - to the Aerosmith-like harmonica sound on "Maverick".

"Stand" has its own style again with a sweet sound that will still be able to speak to the old school headbanger in you.

Those who yearn for Soundgarden will be sorted out by Burn River Burn. You can get the LP on bandcamp or buy it on CD Baby." - Stoner and More

Neüstonia - 2016

BURN RIVER BURN.  The name is the sound...

Churning, burning and rolling like a sludgy incendiary river.  Bending and twisting.  Calm but raging.  Soothing yet fierce.  Moving Rock.

It is next-level heavy rock music with crushing riffs, soaring vocals, steam engine grooves and dynamic, distinctive songs.
