Today we’d like to introduce you to Eduardo Leon. - Nashville Vayager
Eduardo wants audiences to feel good! Whether they are listening to him on Spotify or experiencing his live shows, the idea is for his fans to be inspired. After all, he’s been working on his unique sound for over 20 years, which is a combination of acoustic pop and folk … with a lot of variety in between. “There’s a little bit of something in there for everyone,” he says.
And while the singer and songwriter now calls Alabama home, he was born in Peru, moving to the U.S. with his family when he was 10. “A lot of my musical influences were here, but I have a lot of musical inspiration beyond. Art is universal.” - Nashville Music Guide
Born in Lima, Peru, and currently based in the United States, Eduardo’s wistful brand of acoustic pop is finding listeners all over the world. Influenced by everything from classic rock to the masterpieces he studied while earning his master’s degree in Literature, his songs are a combination of pensive humor, peaceful feelings, and thought-provoking lyrics. Eduardo’s songs have a little something for everybody, and with his latest release, he is poised to reach his largest audience yet. - The Morning Dish Steven Phillips and The Morning Dish

How did you come by your stage name?
Eduardo is my name. As a singer songwriter I figured it would be good to go by my original name.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
Music has always been a part of me. Since I was young growing up in Lima, Peru. I was always surrounded by it. I was introduced to rock and roll at a very young age, from friends and learned more about it when I moved to the states. I have always loved Peruvian music as well, mostly what my dad listens to.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
Well, it’s a bit of everything. The acoustic sound definitely comes from listening to American music, like rock and roll, 90’s alternative music. The flow of the melodies though, I try to mix as much as I can from 60’s Beatles era for the slow tunes and Latin American music for the up-tempo songs. My phrasing in different songs changes depending on subject matter.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
My newest project comes out February 5th. It’s called “Love Elation”. It’s a love song that I wrote for my wife a couple of years ago. When I went on the road in 2019 I added it to the set list and played it live. It got a good response, so I decided to record it and put it out close to Valentine’s day.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
I love playing live. I miss it. The pandemic put a stop to it, but when it’s over I plan on getting back on the road again. - Muzique Magazine
