Bill Bellows

There's an unmistakable Southern accent in Bill's       voice and in his music.  Born and raised in the  Deep South, it's impossible for a musician not to be influenced  by the gumbo of musical styles that have been  born there and spread throughout the world.  From Delta to New Orleans to the roots of country and rock & roll, there must be something in the water.

Bill has won the Chris Austin Songwriting competition at Merlefest as well as recognition and awards from BMI, ASCAP, Nashville Songwriter's Association and the Music City Song Festival. 

He's performed at festivals throughout the South, including Merlefest, City Stages, Riverfest, Big Spring Jam, Bayfest and the Briefield Music Festival.  He has played solo and with electric and acoustic groups at many venues throughout the South through the years.

Inspired by artists from The Band to Guy Clark to Hank Williams and Steve Earle, Bill's original songs have their roots firmly set in the red clay of his native Alabama, with country and folk influences as well as rock and the blues...In a word, Americana.
