Covering Sam Roberts’ iconic song “Where Have All the Good People Gone” in the Don Mills Rainbow Tunnel in east end Toronto, Basic White takes a new approach to a Canadian classic- using the natural acoustics of the tunnel.
Basic White is a new band on the scene, spearheaded by Riley White (The Good Lads) and joined by Jordan Wallace, Dave Moore and Sandro Di Stefano. They are currently in the process of recording their debut EP at EMAC Studios in London due for release in 2016. - DAKOTA ARSENAULT

We have been big fans and supporters of London ON’s Basic White for a while now, and what better way to celebrate a Canadian long weekend then with some good old rock and roll about partying with your best buds. Showing their versatility Basic White shows off their classic rock influences in a jammer that would go great on a playlist with CSNY, The Guess Who and The Hip. Each passing video released shows an improved look and feel to their sound and it shouldn’t be long before they get picked up by a big label to bring their music to a wider audience.
Their debut EP Long Time Comin’ was released in November and it is a must listen. Check them out at Lee’s Palace on June 15th playing alongside Kid Royal and The Pistolwhips. - DAKOTA ARSENAULT

Part of the reason for this monthly tip sheet is to highlight some lesser known acts, and it has been a while since I’ve highlighted someone who isn’t all over Pitchfork yet. Basic White is a terrific hard rocking band from London, Ontario and are slowly making a name for themselves. Catch them tearing up Sneaky Dee’s when you can say later you were a fan from the start. - Dakota Arsenault

Bio
Basic White is a straight up indie-rock band from London, Ont. The band was originally started by Riley White (The Good Lads) as a solo project but after picking up college best friend Jordan Wallace (Chillin' With Jimmy) to play drums in the band, it quickly turned into something much more. Having played in a couple of bands together before, the immediate chemistry was there.
They've been building their resume since their formation a couple years ago, having played notable opening slots for Shawn Kellerman(blues guitarist), Eric Schenkman(Spin Doctors), The Ascot Royals, as well as Ill Scarlett.
After the release of their debut EP "Long Time Comin'", they are touring accross Ontario and working on their Full Length LP, things are definetly on the up for the boys in Basic White. In 2017 they look to reach new heights, release a ton of new material, and keep the rock n roll train chugging!
