What started out as a weekly get together in 2014 gave birth to The Automatic Slim Blues Band. Throughout the course of their musical union, the members of Automatic Slim Blues Band have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life.
Performing at a variety of venues and making countless public appearances all the while digging deep into the vast Blues repertoire, this talented Blues Band has earned the admiration and affection of critics and fans alike.
We take our name from the Willie Dixon song “Wang Dang Doodle” made famous by Howlin’ Wolf. We dig deep into the repertoire of great bluesmen like Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters, Albert King, John Lee Hooker, Freddie King, Robert Johnson and many more.
We love to take great Blues tunes and color them with our own style and flavor and make them our own. We love to play the Blues and we love to spread them and teach our fans about its history and countless talented influencers.
