Bio
Loud, heavy rock 'n' roll with fatalistic bravado
Fueled with mythic yowling and their own wily futuristic-heavy aesthetic, Atlas and the Astronaut brings surprise and passion to a growing crowd of melted faces in the Portland, Oregon area.
In their 2014 debut full length, Tiny Artifacts, the precise pummeling of Luke Goughnour’s drums and Casey Aspengren’s bass pave a spiraled path into Matt LeMieux’s insistent, hedge maze of a guitar, while frantic voices rise from hyperactive bard Beau Rosser, incanting supernatural tales of betrayal, vendetta and interplanetary strife.
The boys will be in the studio soon and a second album is anticipated in 2016.
