"Andre Damar No Hope"

Andre Damar makes his first Booth feature today, and while he might be feeling like he has “No Hope in a city like this,” he should be feeling much better about his odds with our readers. The 24-year-old rhymesayer hails from the suburbs of Los Angeles, and today gives us the first single off of his upcoming Top Drawer project as part of a world premiere (the $queeze Williams-directed video was released a few months back). The rhymes speak on the realities of growing up in the City of Angels, while SP Beats behind the boards throws down piano melodies that would make Zaytoven jealous. Damar’s Top Drawer is set for release on May 15. - Brendan V

"Andre Damar's "60 West"

It's always great to hear that artists are coming out of every corner of the globe, and while Diamond Bar isn't the most well known city within the hip hop community, we're excited to present this new piece by the up and coming artist Andre Damar.

"60 West" sees the Southern California artist bringing perfect late night vibes, blending a mesh of different hip hop influences and sounding like some of the lyrical greats from the past. Judging from this song, he's not using any gimmicks or flashy fashion to get to the top and we commend him for this. We're loving "60 West" with every listen, and we can't wait to see/hear more. - Kiku Shinfuku

"Andre Damar Will Help You "Get Away""

Andre Damar has recently released a new visual for “Get Away.” Andre Damar is still definitely a new artist and a new artist on the rise – but although he still has the new comer label… He has established a following (that is still growing) and a catalog of videos and albums that has a consistent flow.

Other than “Get Away,” the most recent release we were aware of was “No Hope.” And this is a release with a smooth vibe. A vibe with a message. And a message delivered with true lyrical ability. Andre Damar has in fact released a few songs since that point, all of which were in promotion for his next album Top Drawer . The album will be released soon, & he released a video by the same title.

Now we have yet to hear the actual Top Drawer album but if Vibez is an indication, and of course if the newly released “Get Away” is also an indication then I can expect Andre Damar to reach that new level as a new artist. Fact of the matter is if you see a brand new actor on TV or finally get appearances in a movie, he or she has actually been around for years and years before that point. Right now, Andre Damar is right at the level where he is working hard to get his feet wet in the music game. The next level is where we see his face flash on TV and flash more on the heavy sites, and get invited to high profiled entertainment events (even if they don’t show his face, he is there). He is right at the cusp of reaching this level where he will see all of his hard work pay off and here at RhymeJunkie we are definitely rooting his success.

So we say all of this to say, check out “Get Away” and if you like that, give Vibez a listen. I have a feeling that we’ll be writing about Mr. Damar soon again. - Tobias Junior
