Vermont-based singer-songwriter Alyssa Rose picked up her first guitar at 16 and began turning her journal entries into songs during her college days in Ithaca, NY. Her performances were kept to the small, safe spaces of backyard bonfires and friend’s houses until the summer of 2015 when a friend and local promoter discovered her music and began booking her in Upstate NY. Since then, this self-taught musician has made significant waves with her music, playing a slew of intimate venues across the United States.
The acoustic-folk sound of Alyssa Rose can be described as sensual and sultry, reminiscent of days spent by the ocean, where she spends much of her time. With equal parts sweet and smoky, her music evokes feelings of summer nights and laid-back afternoons. Her heart is completely intertwined with music, evident in the radiant glow emanating from her welcoming stage presence.
Alyssa just finished recording her debut EP titled “Tumbleweed”, a collaboration of country-rock songs she wrote while spending a significant amount of time on the road in California. Keep an eye out for some exciting collaborations and never before heard arrangements, which will be released in August 2017. In the meantime, Alyssa continues to write, practice, and expand her fanbase throughout Upstate NY, the Adirondacks, and around her new home in Burlington, VT.
