Born and raised in a suburban town of the Bay Area, California, Alana now lives semi-nomadically with a home base on the Big Island of Hawaii. Influenced by the folk sounds of Gillian Welsh, the island spirits of Hawaii, the heartfelt R&B of India Arie, the soulful praises of old-time Gospel, the unabashed reflections of Alanis Morisette, and the consciousness-raising vibrations of Nahko Bear, Alana’s music is deep, uplifting, and inspiring. Her presence, authenticty, and genuine spirit can be felt in the vibrations of her rich voice, comfortable presence, and sincere lyrics. Regularly incorporating improvisational songs and singalongs, Alana’s shows invite everyone to be part of the magic unfolding.
