Black is sharing her second album, “50/50”, with the world on
June 23. Just like her first project, “Perfect Dream” (released in
2011), Philadelphia’s gifted songstress teamed up with long-time collaborators Sir
Elroy and Rob Flom (Yazz
The Great of television’s The
Empire), with
additional production from Daniel El. The R&B collection also
features a track produced by Adrean Black, herself.
This long-awaited project
blends dance/pop songs with mid-tempo ballads, making the project aptly titled
“50/50”. Reimagining 90’s R&B with sensibility and aesthetic, mixed
with ahead-of-its-time production, “50/50” is a statement of maturity
and a brilliant artistic leap forward for Adrean Black, who has
been performing tirelessly to help promote the EP and her edgy, up-tempo
single, “Not Worried”.
