A Darker Day is a Hard Rock, Hardcore, Metal band from Ottawa. These 5 dudes have been kicking ass on the Ottawa scene since 2008. They may look rough around the edges but they have hearts of gold (not trying to ruin their street cred). Whether it’s playing or putting on benefit shows for children with cancer (ROCK for the Cause) or Multiple Sclerosis (MS Metal Therapy) or just plain givin’er around town; you’re sure to have a head-banging good time seeing them live around the venues of our Nation’s Capital and beyond.

A darker day has been delivering their musical assault since 2008 with guitar driven and heavy hitting original Metal/Metalcore music with no regrets !! Four guys stemming from different musical backgrounds such as a rock, thrash, hardcore and metal have always had the love and passion to play Metal on the same level ! A Darker Day had the pleasure of playing there first show as A Darker Day at the legendary Barrymore's music hall in Ottawa, Canada in 2008 before they turned into strictly a dance club venue where almost all of today's legends had played at one point or another, from this point on the darker day had hammered through the local music scene building a reputation with all the venues while gathering a Fanbase and making many new friends, we have been throwing down for almost 7 years having the pleasure to meet and play with many other Ottawa bands, A Darker Day has also moved on to open for bands such as slaves on dope, ottawa's very own and legendary Annihilator and our other home town legends Exciter ! We have also been thrown out of our element (with pleasure) and opened up for other bands such as 80s glam Rockers Faster Pussycat and the Bullet Boys who never did end up showing up due to issues at the border however the night was still a success anyways as A Darker Day threw there Dark flag into the air and gave another unforgettable performance !
