Bio
Whether or not its his distinct view on life or his potent voice in music Ace Clark is bound to have you walking away feeling uplifted, focused and appreciative. The Brooklyn native credits his problematic youth and his grandmothers guidance as the keys to why we have a artist who moves to the beat of his own drum. Many have come from the county of Kings but not many have viewed music the way Ace has. His earliest influences were in the genre of R&B-Soul such as D'Angelo, Lauryn Hill,BlackStreet and Brandy. His earliest Hip-Hop influences were Slick Rick , LL Cool J, Black Thought , Jay-Z, and Big L. In his music Ace touches on social and economic dismay while bridging the gap between what feels good and his own personal dilemmas. Although his career is only beginning Ace has received praise from Ice-T, Slick Rick, LL Cool J, Elzhi and DJ Clue ; Justin Timberlake's manager Johnny Wright has even gone as saying "Ace has a sound that the older generation will embrace because of his vocal selection". In 2013, Ace was a key contributor to the MySpace relaunch giving many people a very deep and powerful introduction into his Brooklyn roots. Ace has been featured on platforms such as Billboard Magazine, Global Grind. MTV, BET, and Video Music Box. Ace hopes to leave a lasting imprint on music and the inner cities like the one he is from. Ace is focused on making a product that will encourage the community to eliminate normalcy and tradition while creating the change it seeks to see.
