Conceived in the desert of Arizona and born in the hills of Kentucky, A Former Friend speaks truth to power through the grand tradition of American Songwriting.
A Former Friend has dubbed his dark musings on current affairs against a backdrop of folk, roots and country as Americana Gothic. He performs solo with guitar and vocals, as a duo with flute accompaniment and vocal harmonies, or as a band with upright bass, guitar, mandolin, flute and four part vocal harmonies.
A Former Friend has toured all over the country and the world with stops in 40 of the lower 48 states in addition to performances in Canada, The Netherlands, Germany, China, Australia and New Zealand. AFF debuted a self-titled release in 2018 that features 5 carefully crafted tunes and he is currently working on his sophomore release, "This Television Will Not Be Revolutionized."
