My Hip Hop story is of an unsigned OG. I was born when Rap was making a name. Early radio memories are Run DMC, Public Enemy, plus cassette tapes full of Reggae. I heard a lot of Cocoa Tee, and Dennis Brown growing up. I know those play a part in the influence of my style, as well as my older sister that used to rap.
I picked up the mic as a teenager, then took it more serious in the early 2000's. So, I saw almost all the eras of Hip Hop. I've seen every bubble that artists blew up from. There are a couple artists in the game that I was in the same talent pool with. in the past. I even told myself I quit, before. People who are meant to do things, do them.
Fortunately, more producers, and emcees have been reaching out to work with me. People want something genuine. That's what I offer listeners in my tunes. Authentic sounds to a genre we grew up loving.
