Azure Down is an enchanting group from California. Sounding like a new Pink Floyd, this band puts music together as well as you could ask. With slow, resounding guitar parts that seem to speak to you, and the vocals telling their own story, you can easily get lost in each of their songs. Making a name for themselves in the California area, this band is a true joy for those who enjoy lengthy, complex songs. Azure Down is definitely a band to listen to on the couch with candles around, and with headphones on your head so you don't miss one thing. Sit back and take in their songs and I am sure that you will be left wanting more. - Target Audience Magazine

Bio
Azure Down's undigested nuggets of ouija board vocals, free-form sonic exploration, proto-psychedelia, and post-punk etherealism helped shape their musical direction, and blend together to form a psychedelic dream pop for The New Depression Generation.
With visually stimulating live shows, Azure Down made thick, sonic waves among Southern California's indie music scene in late 2000s and was signed to local indie label IML Records. Having played at venues such as The Blue Cafe, The Knitting Factory, Mr. T's Bowl, and The Prospector, Azure Down established themselves as a staple in the L.A. and Long Beach indie music scene.
While in the process of finishing up and getting ready for releasing their debut album, We Searched for Neptune, the global economic destabilization of The New Depression Generation swept Deb and Justin away to a new life in Portland, Oregon, and the band went on an indefinite hiatus.
A number of years later, Azure Down is excited to be back together and playing music again. The band is preparing to release We Searched For Neptune, the album that almost never was, and is also in the process of rehearsing and recording new music.
