Bio
Azul born in Guatemala raised in Southern California has been singing professionally since the age of 14 years old. Started with local mariachi bands, cumbia bands and latin tropical bands. Her love for reggae music was her passion. She started writing her own songs with topics of love, world peace, liberation, freedom, injustices committed against people by the system, war, poverty and violence to the indigenous people. In 2014 she met and worked with "Scientist" on a 8 song EP written by Azul, produced by Scientist. Azul also works with Quinto Sol as a special guest, she also sang back up for Mas Fuego a project of Quinto Sol's keyboardist. In 2015 Azul worked with LA's underground Hiphop artist Jizzm High Definition who produced another 8 song EP written and performed by Azul. She has also opened for Pato Banton, Black Uhuru, Todos Tus Muertos, Sister Nancy, Aztlan Underground, 2Mex, The Wailing Souls and many more. Currently she performs with her band The Jade Tones hence the name "Azul & The Jade Tones".
