“Fadiya,” the latest single by Attack the Sound, is a profoundly moving piece that delves into the complexities of war, self-identity, and the human condition. The band’s signature blend of alternative rock and soulful introspection creates a transformative listening experience. Inspired by the artist’s contemplation of military service, the track explores themes of love, faith, and the haunting uncertainty of life-altering choices. - The Independent Spirits
These talented artists from Chicago give us a fantastic new interpretation of the classic 'Favorite Things' with their latest release. Attack the Sound's music stands out with sophisticated jazz arrangements and original textures, giving us a mid-paced and pleasantly groovy feeling on the ears. - Berlin On Air
Attack the Sound, Chicago's self-proclaimed Chi-pop pioneers, deliver a fresh and imaginative take on a classic with their latest single, "Favorite Things." Drawing inspiration from The Sound of Music's enduring "My Favorite Things" and John Coltrane’s transformative jazz rendition, the band reshapes the familiar tune into something distinctly their own—a modern, genre-blurring homage that feels equally nostalgic and forward-thinking. - Indie Music Album
Introducing a new flavor to their musical versatility, popular Chicago band Attack the Sound celebrate their successes in their sultry new hit “People Make Love”. “People Make Love” offers a sexy, slowed down delivery by lead singer Davo Sounds who, in the video, plays the role of a controversial Hugh Hefner type. Surrounded by beautiful women, Davo and other band members dance the night away to encourage listeners to show their appreciation for life by doing one of our most primal deeds – making love. Directed by a woman-led team, the video’s creativity is well displayed amidst funky interior and a classic aesthetic. Instrumentally, the band taps into a nostalgic R&B vibe underneath Davo’s dynamic vocal stylings – a winning combination as the alternative eight-piece band displays the unique synergy that Chicago has grown to know and love. - The Hype Magazine
Expertly fusing together Pop, Jazz, Hip Hop, and so many other lush tones into their music, Attack the Sound have taken their greatest hits and given them a fresh new feeling on Reboot to the Sound. For this Chicago-based band, they’re 8 extremely talented members that have coined the term Chi-Pop, and it 100% shows in the music. Point blank, we’ve loved this record and can’t wait for everyone to give it a spin.
Now one of the things that took us by surprise when we dug into this record was how unexpectedly cohesive it was. Typically on a greatest hits record, you’d imagine it to be a little all over the place in messaging or tone, however the track listing here was still thought of in a positive way. The flow was spectacular and the song choices they’ve made to remaster really were a great all encompassing introduction to the band. Whether or not you’re familiar with their music or not, there’s literally something for everyone here to listen and love. - We Write About Music
Enlisting a strictly Chicago-bred crew of emerging artists, opening acts included rappers Melo Makes Music and Brian Fresco with Radd Simmons and Mike P. Bennett’s official tour DJ, taking over spin duties during the evening’s set changeovers. But it was the night’s penultimate performer and Taylor’s new label signee, Bianca Shaw, that captivated the audience with her spitfire lyricism and swaggy vocals — not to mention an insanely talented full live band dubbed “Attack the Sound” that helped amplify and complement Shaw’s empowered sensibility. - BillBoard

Bio
Formed by Army Veteran and current Chicago Fireman Davo Sounds, Attack the Sound (ATS) has tirelessly made its mark on the Chicago music scene. Blending elements of jazz, hip hop, blues, gospel, and rock, ATS has pioneered the genre Chi-pop [Indie RnB/Pop]. Compared to the likes of Leon Bridges, Black Pumas and John Legend, their electrifyingly smooth tone, coupled with dynamic live performances, has earned them collaborations with artists like Isaiah Sharkey, Bianca Shaw, Taylor Bennett, and JC Brooks. ATS has appeared on national television shows such as ABC’s Windy City Live, WGN's People to People and signed a sync deal with Winding Way Records for their single "Love is War," which won Best AT Show, Judges’ Choice and Best Cinematography at the Midwest Film Festival. Attack The Sound is a Chicago City Year of Music grant recipient and they were finalists in the Chicago Made Competition for three consecutive years (both finalists and semi-finalists). Attack The Sound is a member of NACA (National Association of Collegiate Activities) and alumni of the NEXT Showcase, and ATS has performed internationally at North by Northeast (NXNE) in Toronto. They’ve graced stages at Navy Pier’s Beer Garden, Taste of Chicago, SpringBoard Music Fest and the International Festival of Life. Additionally, ATS secured a sync song deal with the NBA’s Chicago Bulls for the 2019-2020 season.
