An insightful 1987 promo ad for 17-year-old Ashley Paul’s breakthrough 12” dance/pop hit said it best – not to mention prophetically - about the infectious track: “The natural setting for ‘When Boys Cry’ is the radio. . .When it gets on the airwaves, watch out.” The track, penned by Victoria Shaw (Lady A, Garth Brooks, Eric Church) and Peggy Stanziale (Madonna) and produced by industry legend Joel Diamond (Engelbert & Gloria Gaynor), became a Top 20 single and reached #36 on the Billboard Dance chart. 

Ashley’s ‘80s hit, with its emotional and empowering theme and thumping energy as relevant as ever, “When Boys Cry” was primed to hit the floor and the charts once again via a fresh, dynamic remix by British duo Until Dawn, who have worked their magic with hits by the likes of Pink, Lisa Stansfield, Christina Aguilera, and Carly Rae Jepsen. The Until Dawn remix was released on Dauman Music in November 2021 and already hit Number 2 on the Swiss Dance Charts just 8 weeks ago and also entered Germany's top 40. 

Ashley recently released a new single on Dauman Music called, “Come and Get Me”, that she co-wrote with Jackie’s Boy (Madonna, Lil Wayne, Flo Rida) and Gemini (Post Malone, Justin Bieber). The single has already hit number 8 on the UK Commercial Pop Charts, Number 10 in France and #3 on the Swiss Dance Charts as well as number 8 in Germany ,It has also gathered excitement and support for radio play in Europe as well as the US. In March  of 2022 she co-wrote and recorded with producer, Damon Sharp a new tune called “Feel Your Fire ,”

Ashley also had many club hits following. boys cry ,,

singles that included “Color Me Yours” (a hit in Denmark, Holland, Germany, and France), “This Kind of Love” and “Don’t Take Back Your Love.” 

Growing up influenced by the great female voices of her generation – Barbra Streisand, Melissa Manchester, Olivia Newton-John, Carole King, and Donna Summer – Ashley, who began playing piano at age five, made her first chart splash in the Hot 100-holiday single “Dear Santa Claus” when she was 13, three full years before she knocked out Joel Diamond and he felt compelled to help launch her music career on a grander scale .

Ashley who just released her latest track this past week called ,,Feel Your Fire ,on Dauman records , Already #8 in France, Paul ,co- wrote this song with Eric Santicola and Grammy Award winning Producer and writer Damon Sharpe who has written with Jlo, Ariana Grande ,Kylie and Pitbull . Feel your Fire , is already gaining radio support from Gaydio play listing ,as well as many other stations worldwide ,She will be performing this Diana Ross style Disco track all over Europe this summer at festivals .

In addition Ashley just co wrote a new song With Melissa Manchester and Gordon Pagoda called Whisper Surrender , also due out soon ,

Far more than simply a powerhouse pop vocalist, however, Ashley was an-all around performer who; scored lead roles in “Peace Child” and “Take Me Along” at the Kennedy Center . Was also a tap dancer taught by the guy who trained The Hines Brothers ( Henry le Tang )as well as Performing in a musical produced and directed by Tommy Tune and studied opera with Maria Farnsworth of the MET opera . Ashley is a singer a songwriter and an overall Powerhouses live performer , She loves live performance as much as writing and being in the studio ,, . Ashley just co - wrote and recorded a new song with Jackie’s Boy and Gemini Muzique. , A track called “Raining Rubies ,”,not out till September ,,but audiences will get a sneak peak of this inspiring and beautiful new pop dance track in live shows this summer .
