Bio
In the corner of a seedy bar in the Netherlands, brothers Parker Dotson (lead guitar) and Bradan Dotson (vocals & guitar) cemented their plans to form Antique Firearms. Shortly after arriving in Asheville, they were joined by brother Galen Dotson (keys) and long-time friend Chandler Brewer (bass). Drummer Dave Breske has since completed the mix and the family.
Antique Firearms’ sound is an eclectic melding of rock, folk, and electronica - belying their varied interests and an evolving experimentation. The dynamic nature of the band’s sound has lead them to be compared to the likes of ‘My Morning Jacket’ and a southern-fried version of ‘Radiohead'. That along with their "nattily dressed, and blistering" live performance has been creating quite a buzz in the southeast. 2013 was a good year for the band. They released their second album 'Vicious Behavior', completed their first major American tour, were featured artists on Soundcloud and Reverbnation, and got a chance to play with the likes of Colonel Bruce Hampton, the Mountain Goats, and The Love Language. They've now set their sites on finishing up their third album, to be released later this year.
