Today we’d like to introduce you to Annie Dukes. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Annie Dukes came together over a mutual friend’s passing. Both Cassidy and Emma had solo careers playing and touring Northeast Florida. The band came together quickly and unexpectedly. After the first couple of shows, the girls knew they had something together worth pursuing. Within the first six months of shows, the band landed direct support slots with artists like Nita Strauss and Blacktop Mojo.
Meeting Mike Monahan in 2021 the trio lineup was complete and the band formed the sound you hear today on their latest release, “The Fog”. The music started to evolve after a heavy year of touring. Bringing Callie on for the last tour of 2022, added three-part harmony and keys/rhythm guitar into the mix, completing their sound.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Hell yeah, we’ve been through a lot on our journey.
From being females in the industry, lineup changes, being a DIY touring band to rushing band members to urgent care less than 24 hours before playing the Grand Ole Opry House stage, we’ve pushed through.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Annie Dukes is an all-original, female-fronted rock/grunge band out of Northeast FL.
Within the first year of playing out, we started touring heavily in the southeast region. Our live shows, heavy sound, three-part harmonies, and songwriting are what sets the band apart. - Nashville Voyager

Bio
Rock n roll cannot be faked. It is polished with the unwillingness to travel any other road. That electricity brought these women together as one, creating the band Annie Dukes.
Annie Dukes is a female fronted rock band out of Northeast Florida. Their sound is a mixture of 70's rock with 90's grunge tones, saturated with three part harmonies. "Black Sabbath meets Fleetwood Mac". They have toured all over the southeast in their short time as a band, landing them direct support slots with artists like Maggie Rose, Nita Strauss, Plain White T's, Thelma and the Sleaze, Tyler Bryant, Blacktop Mojo. In October 2022, the band played the JMA's at the Grand Ole Opry House.
The first single, “Did I say Yes??” is a song that shines a light on sexual abuse and women’s rights, while driving the melody with guitar solos, a driving rhythm and harmonies. The music video, released 2/24 made an impact with its powerful imagery of local women who participated in the video, standing against sexual abuse and violence. On March 3rd, Annie Dukes release their first, self-titled EP. The songs are heavy hitting, anthem-like songs and define the band's true sound, solidifying their role in the rock ‘n roll scene.Links
