Bio
Angela Jane Bachmann blends the dark and light of music, from heavy rhythms to disco infused funk. She uses a looping machine along with live singing and instrumentals to create a unique performance each time she plays. Known for her playful, gritty, pop sensibility that flows between the etherial darkness of Siouxsie and Banshees, the upbeat danceability of Blondie, and a hip-hop fusion style of guitar rhythms. Angela has lived and played in bands from Brooklyn, New York to Long Beach, California. Born in Colorado, and raised in Denver, she grew up inspired by the constant stream of live music that played throughout her childhood city. This nomad musician is constantly producing new music, and is currently recording her first full length solo album. With the release of her first single off the record, ‘Get Down’, which officially will be released in September.
Having scored films, along with collaborated with countless artists as a guest singer (All Human, Pictureplane). She has participated in numerous projects as a musician and writer from Southern California outfit, Toy Pony, to more rock inspired project Surf Riot, finding a solidified voice amongst it all.
