Andrew Holmes is a Singer/Songwriter from Abilene, Texas. He has a style rooted in Folk and Americana. Holmes writes like a well-traveled soul immortalizing his keen observations and conficts in melodies infused with a captivating balance of meaning and muse.
Holmes’ soothing “England” showcases his gift for tapping into the “impactfully incidental” – those everyday morsels missed by many - and yields a steady garden of lyrics that stay with you long after the fnal C has faded.
Other works, such as Holmes’ spiritual anthem “The Saint and the Sinner”, rise and fall to keep you on the edge of a feeling, always passionate, unfinchingly personal and poignant. His crisp vocals and range are both warm and inviting, with a winsome vulnerability.
A west Texas native, Andrew Holmes grew up in a very creative and spiritual home – occasionally religious - which likely inspires a connection with his music akin to a calling. Holmes developed a desire to write at a young age (writing his frst song at the age of seven) and while he didn’t begin playing guitar until he was 17, by 18 he was delighting a steadily growing fanbase with his original compositions. By 2013, he released his frst album, “Seize the Day”. Then, in November of 2014, he released his second album, “Lionheart”.
Holmes has done numerous tours, performing all over including Colorado, New York City, Austin, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Nashville, and more. He has opened for several established artists such as David Ramirez, Maybe April, This Frontier Needs Heroes, James McCartney (Paul McCartneys son), & Jonathan Tyler.
Andrew Holmes is currently recording his newest record with Drive35 Studios in Carrolton, TX, expected to be released in late 2017.
