Why should major label bands be the only ones who get love? Unsigned & Streamed is a column where we stream a song from an unsigned band we at Metal Insider really dig.
This week, we’re pleased to show some love for Ontario’s American Hell. This five piece band came to fruition in 2007 following the demise of A Day And A Deathwish and In These Walls. Though they struggled to find a permanent singer and drummer over the next few years, American Hell finally made it’s live debut on Halloween of 2010 with a solid lineup in place. Since then, the band has performed at numerous metal festivals in Ontario and has shared the stage with the likes of The Devin Townsend Band, Protest The Hero, Vanna, Cancer Bats, and many others. American Hell’s blend of hardcore punk and metal reminds us a lot of early Shadows Fall mixed with a hint of Unearth. So without further ado, give the song “Zero,” off of American Hell’s demo, in the stream below.
American Hell have a few shows coming up in the Ontario area with Dr. Acula and The Bunny, The Bear. In addition to writing for their debut full length, the band is also set to film a music video for “Zero” at the end of this week. You can listen to more songs from American Hell via their Bandcamp page, while you can keep up to date on upcoming plans and tour dates via their website and Facebook page." - Review by Zach Shaw - Metalinsider.net - metal insider
