This band has a really cool and unique sound. The first obvious difference from a lot of country music out there today is the use of the mandolin. You can hear it throughout the song and obviously see it in this live video. It plays well with the guitar as the two main leads in the song.
The story in the song seems to be about a couple. It sounds like there are a few issues between them. There is friction and the only thing to do might be to get a case of whiskey and a bottle of wine – one for each person in the relationship.
It’s an interesting way to play on the love struggles that pop up from time to time for some couples. There is always passion and heat and then there is the other side of the coin.
This is a really cool alternative country band and it fits right in with the independent or alternative movement that is popular in both the country and pop worlds today. - Country Music Life

This South Florida-based indie-rock duo focuses on tight, swirling harmonies, folkpunk-like musical backing, ragged Neil Young influences and tenor vocals initially drew comparisons to fellow Southern-based indie folk rockers Shovels & Rope. Multi-instrumentalists Paula and Kevin formed the group in 2009 after a twenty something year hiatus from the mainstream musical world. Clearly, 33 Years brings a vast array of Roots based music into focus with precision execution.
