The new song “The People” gives us a smooth & mellow perspective of 2Ru3’s outlook on bringing peace, and tranquility to our cities, especially with the over whelming gun violence in the country.

It’s great to see an artist from down south speaking on real life issues any & all urban communities in this generation can relate too! #Peace #Love - Underground Hip Hop Blog

""To anyone who asks where the passionate, honest, and concerned hip- hop artists are...""

2Ru3 (true) is an artist from Columbia, South Carolina whose style hearkens back to what many deem the golden era of hip hop. With a heart set not only on putting his hometown on the map; he also wants to show that being authentic, having a real message, and standing on truth, among other things, is not as far gone from the hip-hop world as it seems. From the people who say music has lost its soul to the people who degrade and have given up on today’s youth, 2Ru3 seeks to prove the exact opposite as being true.

His latest release, “The People”, is a single from his upcoming debut EP “Alpha (The Beginning)”. Within the first few seconds of the intro, you can tell this isn’t “just another song”. It speaks on the current societal issues we all have dealt with or heard about and offers the resolution that we need to stop only pointing the finger but be willing to look at our own faults as to why some things are how they are.

So to anyone who asks the question, “Where are the passionate, honest, and concerned hip-hop artists?”….congratulations, you just read about one.

“The People” is now available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, etc.

Bio

In this day and age, many believe today’s artists want to distance themselves from the “old school” or “golden era” style of way back.

2Ru3 (true) is an exception. His whole style embodies and bleeds golden era hip hop with old school flavor yet still remains unique, fresh and genuine in his approach.

A hip-hop artist native to Columbia, South Carolina, he was born and raised on the southeast side of Columbia. Part of his mission, through music, is to impart truth and inspiration to anyone willing to listen with an open mind. He also seeks to create music that is heartfelt and soulful that resonates with the people who hear it no matter where they are from or how old they are.

” I don’t do this just because I have the ability to do it….I’m really trying to bring the very thing we keep saying we want/need. Yes, my vision is deeper than music, but it goes hand in hand with it. I want to show that not all rappers are the same, not all christians are what we often see or hear through media. There are still real deal individuals out here representing what they saying and doing their best to live right. I also want to show too that people from South Carolina especially the southeast side of Columbia can do great things, too.”      – 2Ru3
