VansGuard

VansGuard is a unique eight-piece band of conscious, activist-musicians whose original songs reflect their lives and their vision of a better future. The band features the dynamic vocals of songwriters and identical twin sisters DeleVan & SanSkritA. Their lyrics speak against injustice and promote sustainable living while their vocals emulate an ancient strength of Celtic origins. The complex and creative music of VansGuard can shift from high-intensity passionate rock to whispering lullabies in seconds.

The instrumentation of Van'sGuard includes acoustic & electric guitars, mandolin, keyboard, trumpet, penny whistle, bass, drums, and percussion. Talented musicianship blends seamlessly to support some of the greatest singers in the world. High-powered rhythms and rock-solid instrumentation get you dancing while progressive, socially-aware lyrics get you thinking.   Although they are twins, DeleVan & SanSkritA are very different personalities that complement each other in everyway. They grew up harmonizing together and are in-tune with each other like only twins can be. Their brother Amadon plays drums & percussion. He has developed a synchronistic style of playing that upholds the vocals and fuses their melodies with rhythm and dynamics. Amadon's drumming is a reflection of the deep bond and soul-connection he has with his sisters.

VansGuard is as much a family, as they are a band. Most of them have known each other since childhood, not just playing music together, but living and growing together as well. To this day, they remain bound by love and musical destiny, while living sustainably in an EcoVillage south of Tucson, Arizona.

VansGuard is part of the Global Change Music Non-Profit Record Label. Global Change Music lyrics speak of a SpiritualutionJustice to the People, a spiritual revolution (where spirituality means social action, not pious, hypocritical religiosity). The lyrics speak of taking action against any form of those injustices where people are oppressed. Global Change Music promotes sustainable living, which includes growing your own organic food, building green, permaculture, sharing services and goods (trade and barter), and having a protective environmental consciousness.
