Tuffy’s Yasmin Dalisay (guitar and vocals) and Thatcher Ulrich (bass, vocals, everything else) met in 2013 and started recording songs together for fun. They liked the way the songs came out so they experimented with live performance as a guitar-bass-drum machine duo, and then twin guitars with backing tracks, until an after show comment crystalized the situation: "you guys sounded great, you really deserve a drummer." They started by recording their debut LP with punker pal Chris Pierce (Deadguy, Groucho Marxists) and then brought on Jeremy Parker (Control Group, Done Lying Down) and have been melting faces as a power trio ever since.
