True Bars

True Bars, is an American Hip Hop/Pop artist born in Fort Hood, Texas raised in Eastern, North Carolina. Growing up in Kinston, NC, Bars or also known by his childhood nickname, "T-Bell", started composing music in an eight piece Jazz set, led by former member of the James Brown Band. After about a year of learning how to compose, Bars used his knowledge and started making hip hop beats digitally, influenced by his uncle who was a hip hop artist at the time with a pretty big following. Eventually, keeping the initials "TB" from his nickname, True Bars became an artist name as he started writing songs to his beats and hitting the studio.

In 2007, True Bars established Full Vision Music Group with a variety of hip hop artists. The team started hitting stages anywhere they could find a show from festivals, to graduation parties, creating a buzz throughout NC and surrounding states. The family quickly grew together after supernatural experiences, financial struggles, and even life and death experience with one of the artists getting shot. All of which, inspired Bars to change his approach to hip hop, and start telling stories based upon his lessons and new perspective of life. With dreamy melodic raps, spiritually awakening lyrics and a message of positive lifestyle, True Bars quickly developed his own brand and trademark sound with his music among fans as well as other musicians.

Bars has received features on local and non-local media outlets, nominated at the 2013 Carolina Music Awards for best producer, and has opened for Ace Hood, Travis Porter, Lil Scrappy and more. From live interviews, to hosting college and local radio shows, Bars has proved himself to be an entertaining icon among many respected individuals in the industry.

Recently, True Bars released his official debut EP titled, "Monatomic", a 6 track project in collaboration with X Over Productions and tape mastering by Dick Hodgin (Grammy Judge). One of the singles, "Backwards (Visions)", is produced by RMB Justize (producer for Taylor Gang Records). The other single, "Pray For Me", was released on MTV two months before the release date and had a fantastic output, not to mention it was the only track on the CD mastered by Chris Athens, he's a veteran mastering engineer who's worked with many legends. 

Right now, True Bars is relaunching his official career and taking a different direction, learning from established curators, and working with new people. Bars will be touring in NC, SC, & VA starting in September to promote his project. True Bars is very active online and encourages new fans to interact and support the movement, he previously stated "I've been making music for years and this is my first professional project, words couldn't explain how excited I am for people to hear this, it's an overwhelming feeling ".
