"Music Premiere: Trisha & Thara Introduce “Too Late Again”"

“Too Late Again” opens on velvety piano tones topped by delicious vocals and glowing harmonies. On the chorus, the tune takes on vibrant layers of effervescing synths, imbuing the harmonics with luscious, radiant textures, while a potent rhythm gives the song crisp oomph ... Ebbing and rising on dazzling colors, “Too Late Again” delivers enticing vocals, a captivating rhythm, and washes of scrumptious, shimmering leitmotifs." - CelebMix

Bio

From Wendy and Carnie Wilson of Wilson Phillips and Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart to Sister Sledge, The Pointer Sisters and contemporary pop/rockers Haim, the natural built-in chemistry and vocal harmonies from sister acts have long been a dynamic staple of pop music. When Trisha & Thara, then age five and three, jumped wildly on their bed at home in St. Charles MO and sang (sometimes screaming) “The Bat Song'' - the first song they ever wrote - for their mom & dad and anyone who could hear, the siblings had no idea that just over a decade later, they’d be bona fide, critically acclaimed indie recording artists on the verge of blazing trails like all these influential sisters before them.

Now based in and performing extensively in the Boston area, the multi-talented Trisha (age 16) and Thara (14) launched their recording career in December 2020 and released 3 original songs which have over 140,000 Spotify streams, appeared on dozens of influential playlists and been featured on the Women of Substance music podcast, a weekly podcast showcasing the best new music by female indie artists in all genres. "Too Late Again" won the John Lennon Song Writing Weekly contest in April 2022. “Regret” was selected as a semi-finalist in the 2021 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) and was also included in an hour-long show on new releases by rising artists on the Massachusetts-based station WPKZ Radio. The duo also won first place in Loretta’s Last Call “Back to Live” Qualifier 2. In 2020, Trisha & Thara opened for Edie Carey’s virtual concerts and performed in several local Open Mic nights.

The sisters bring a unique array of schooling and live performing experience in multiple genres to the edgy pop vibe they create. While living in Missouri, they attended the Lacefield Music School in St. Louis, where they studied musical theater and classical music. When their family moved to Northern Illinois, they enrolled at the Chicago School of Rock and performed in many musicals, including “The Lion King” and “Annie,” produced by BigDeal Productions. At the School of Rock, Trisha & Thara immersed themselves in performing classic rock of such legendary bands as Queen, Led Zeppelin (when Trisha was in fifth grade) and The Beatles, whose songs Thara performed as a third grader.

While staying humble and balancing their musical endeavors with public school, Trisha & Thara aren’t following the typical teenager pop singer route of staying in the bedroom and only posting videos on Instagram and TikTok. While working on their social media presence, they’ve kept up a whirlwind schedule that’s given them a passionate local following.

They have performed at the Faneuil Hall MarketPlace, Boston Hard Rock Cafe, Loretta’s Last Call, the Stone Church, and shows at Food Trucks of America Festivals throughout New England. Trisha & Thara are also lead vocalists in the headliner band, Synco, managed by Performers on the Go, and maintain a schedule of 20+ shows each season.
