Bio
Richard Ennis, AKA Trippy Trip, is from South Jersey. He was born in Cape May Courthouse, but primarily raised in the small town of Wildwood NJ. Rich started his passion at 11 writing raps as a way of venting his frustrations. He used his music as retaliation from heavy bullying he received in middle school. By the time he was 15 Rich realized that his talent was way more than a hobby and decided to take it more serious. From age 15 to 18 he began releasing karaoke and cheap mixtape cds to his friends.
After high school he attended Rowan University and in his freshman year joined the club Lyrical Alliance which helped him really improve his song writing and performance skills. After a few more minor mix tapes that were recorded in basement studios and dorm rooms, Rich realized he had to make a change.
In 2019 he teamed up with WeNeedABeat Productions to release his long awaited debut album, "The Interview". Then in 2020 inspired by depression and the countries turmoil he released his sophomore album "Hindsight". Rich is a humble rapper and considers his music to be conscious hip hop mixed with a pop and melodic vibe. He writes to inspire others and because he loves the culture of hip hop immensely. Because of the highly drug and crime influenced mainstream media Rich strongly advocates for a drug free and positive life. Rich's motto in life is that there is no such thing as failure. Every choice or move in life is either a success or a stepping stone to success.
