Toot and Slider's Musical Tales

The award-winning and entertaining children's duo, Toot and Slider's Musical Tales, presents classic children's stories and folk tales from around the world. As Toot the Flute and Slider the trombone tell their tales, finding opportunities along the way to burst into song (or chamber music), audience members are invited to play instruments and body percussion, act, twirl scarves, and dance or move along as part of the cast of characters. Hidden carefully in the humorous retellings of the stories are music appreciation lessons designed for both adults and kids.

TSMT has been the recipient of a 2013 Connecticut Office for the Arts placemaking grant, a 2012 Co-op Press Commission award, and are Co-op Press Performing Partners.
