Our Story

Lou Becht (keys, vocals), Jeremy Adam (guitar, vocals), Vince Parker (bass), Andrew Johns (lead guitar), and Chad Friedman (drums), offer a combined 50+ years of experience playing music. With several previously touring musicians and the band's strong passion for music, the group draws upon its diverse background to bring its audience an up-tempo, high-energy show.Lou Becht (keyboard, vocals) brings musical knowledge and versatility as the elder statesman of the group. A classically trained pianist and music theory minor in college, Lou last toured with the Delco cover band Mustache Jacuzzi from 2004-2008, playing mostly 80s and 90s music as their lead singer and keyboardist. He has also performed as a guest vocalist and keyboardist with a number of other local cover bands.

Vince Parker (bass guitar) joins Third Period French after a taking a brief musical hiatus to study English.  Trained to read bass clef and understand music theory at the age of 14, he has since come back to the musical scene with a vengeance and hopes to build on a history of performances that span from musicals to cover acts at sold out fundraisers.

Jeremy Adam (guitar, vocals) hails from the suburbs on the Jersey Shore. With 15+ years of musical and theatrical experience, this is Jeremy's first time collaborating with other musicians on an extended project. A fourth-year theater student at Temple University, Jeremy also works as a children's entertainer in center city, and is excited to now be able to bring music to a crowd in a closer age range to his own. He also spends much of his time writing songs, which he hopes to someday produce. Let's rock!

Chad Friedman (drums) has performed in a variety of musical styles and bands throughout his nineteen-year career. He has performed throughout the United States and has toured through Europe, playing along such national acts as Rusted Root, O.A.R., and Jefferson Starship, as well as many other regional and local acts. Chad has played in several successful original bands as well as cover bands.

Andrew Johns (lead guitar) is the newest member of Third Period French. With a background in Pop, Indie, and Alt. Rock he is versatile in his playing as well as his writing abilities. Having performed out for over 10 years, he is also known for his singing, ability to play by a tune by ear on the spot, and his unorthodox yet effective recording techniques. He has worked with numerous local acts as a songwriter, recording engineer, producer, and collaborator. He is also a radio DJ for YNOT Radio, content writer for music blog Philly Mixtape, and plays in an his own original band 'Life On The Horizon'.
