Bio
The Outback Jack Band was organized in May 2002. Our first show was at the Bitter End in New York City on September 2002. Most of our performances are in Orange County in up state New York.
Since its beginnings, the band went through personnel changes, music genre changes until it evolved into what it is today!
Under nighttime skies ( the title song of the C.D.) was written by Jack OConnor ( Outback Jack) and his love of the out door living he enjoys so much and his love for America. It truly is a place were the sound of the wind and wolf harmonize and yes, I believe the Lord watches over me with loving eyes under nighttime skies
We have done a number of charitable events including NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME for the Town of Wallkill in New York State on Aug 8 2008. This was an outdoor event that included games, rides, a lot of good food and refreshments, and police car rides for the young children. In most cases we bring almost all our equipment including stage lights and monitors, 24 track soundboard and entire pa system, controllers and amps. On that particular night, the town supplied us with electric generators to use during the show HOWEVER after the show was over they took the generator away and left us to back up $10,000 dollars worth of equipment in the pitch black with only the headlights from the truck to pack all that stuff in our trailer!!!!!
