Bio

I've had a passion for the blues all my life and have devoted much of it to pursuing that passion. I first learned my trade from blues masters Bill Dicey and Eddie Kirkland. My efforts paid off in 1990 when Grammy winner Johnny “Clyde” Copeland asked me to join his band. We played the best festivals and clubs in the world and recorded several albums on Verve Records. While working with Eddie Kirkland and Johnny Copeland, I performed and recorded with Dr. John, Buckwheat Zydeco, Randy Weston, Luther Allison, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Hubert Sumlin, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Lonnie Mack, and Shemekia Copeland to name a few. Recently, I had the great honor to be inducted into The Blues Hall of Fame. I feel there’s no better time than now to spread the word that I’m putting out a brand new album and I'm ready to tour behind it with my current band, which includes Everett Boyd on bass and Marc Copell on drums.
