Bio

The Royal Turns are an indie-folk/rock band from Hiawassee, Georgia featuring Summer Grace on vocals, guitar, and keyboard, and Kaleb Garrett on vocals and guitar. The pair met at a college open mic night, where they bonded over a mutual love of Fleetwood Mac. They kept in touch and began playing together for fun, figuring out tight two part harmonies and putting their own spin on some of their favorite covers. For the next few years they pursued solo opportunities; Summer headed to LA to where she wrote and recorded the featured original song for the film "A Million Happy Nows," and Kaleb began doing session work for a local studio and gigging with several bands.

Upon Summer's return to Georgia, they got together to catch up and play some original ideas for each other. Immediately, wheels started turning. Discontent with their individual endeavors and enthralled with their reinvigorated musical connection, they decided to combine efforts. In 2016, they formalized their musical project and began playing shows around the North Georgia area, where their dynamic combination of female/male vocals, tight harmonies, and rich guitar arrangements have garnered a following. The Royal Turns are currently working on their debut EP of original material merging their 60s/70s folk-rock roots with hooky indie-pop flavors.
