The Dr. Steve Band (formerly The Whatever Band):
The band: Four musicians. Four men. Steve Prasinos, Mike Gieralt, Gary Gieralt, and EZ Zampieron. All husbands, fathers. Playing all originals by Dr. Steve.
Dr. Steve: (Steven Prasinos): Psychologist, singer/songwriter. He also plays solo. He teaches Shadow Songs: A Psychological Approach to Songwriting at SummerSongs songwriting camps. He is a published author of science fiction stories and articles blending psychology and spirituality.
The songs: Quirky, psychological, spiritual, dark, funny originals written by Dr. Steve.
The music: Tight with catchy grooves and wicked guitar leads, solid bass and playful hand percussion.
The background: The Dr. Steve Band has been playing around Connecticut for over 5 years. They won a spot at the 2012 CT Folk Festival and have been receiving airplay on WPKN. They have been a favorite at the First Thursdays music series in Woodbury, Ct. Their first CD, entitled "Whatever CD #1", was released in 2012.
