The Bare Hambones is a Roots-Rock band from the Chicagoland area. Fronted by piano man and singer Tim Larsen, this 5 piece band jumps off of the traditional roots genre and puts a lot of energy into the room. The band started in 2012 with Tim Larsen, Brad Riverdahl (drums) and Michael Brown (acoustic guitar). The music they played followed an outlaw country influence: Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard. As 2012 turned into 2013, new member of the band Tony Kubicek (bass) brought with him roots-rock, bluegrass, and jam band influences. In 2017, they added blues/southern rock influenced lead guitar player Jeff Cali. The sound of the band has blended these genres and put a story to each lyric. With their debut album, 2016's "Time For Kicking," The Bare Hambones show that they can provide diversity in their setlist and keep you dialed in. Turn it on, turn it up and enjoy.
