Tami Hix

My influences have been Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, The Judds, Martina McBride - mainly country in my heart. I love to dance too, so I grew up in the Disco era and was totally influenced by it. So, you will see some moves come out of my body when playing guitar. I grew up singing all of my life, but only been playing guitar for 6 years. Those who know me are truly inspired by my quick growth toward performing and playing. I give all of my heart when singing. There is no other way. I grew up in Pasadena, Texas, and we barely got by - Lower class income family. Because of where I'm from, I am aggressive, passionate, not afraid to fail, daring, and love life immensely. People pick up on it, and usually want to hang. I have a very serious side of me too. I am a single mom with a great career, and appreciate what has been given to me. My hard work has paid off. I believe in my heart that a person can go places they never thought they could, if only they keep passionately giving their all.
