TERRA ALTA — Popular music sensation and local favorite Guilty Pleasure Band had a celebration at Short Horns Saloon recently. The Terra Alta club was the scene of a big announcement for the members of Guilty Pleasure as they played a special show to commence the launch of their first album with the North Carolina record label Tire Swing Entertainment.
Guilty Pleasure Band is a national recording band from Terra Alta. They have entertained crowds over the last three years and hold a portfolio of band originals that hook their devoted fans and are constantly reeling in new ones. They also cover music spanning the decades; putting their personal touches on songs such as “Purple Rain” and “Funky Cold Medina” (now known as Guilty’s Cowbell Song). They have played at venues such as (but not limited to) East Coast Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Preston County Buckwheat Festival and Mountainfest Motorcycle Rally. Storm Creek Rising (formerly Guilty Pleasure Band) is a national recording band, signed by Tire Swing Entertainment. They hold a portfolio of band originals that hook their devoted fans and are constantly reeling in new ones. They also cover music spanning the decades; putting their personal touches on songs such as Purple Rain and Funky Cold Medina (now known as SCRs Cowbell Song). Invitations have been extended to return to venues such as East Coast Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, The Buckwheat Festival, and WV Mountainfest. The heart, talent, and dedication of Storm Creek Rising are second to none. They have also taken lead roles in supporting awareness and outreach events in their communities, including Megan's Angels, the ALS challenge, and more! Traveling alongside of Storm Creek Rising are The SCR Girls. They play an important part by energizing the crowd and getting people onto the dance floor!
