"The Smith III"

Dalyk, Jalyka, and Alyk Smith, aka The Smith III, have been displaying musical talent since a very young age.

No matter how hard their mother pushed academics, she could not stop her little ones from expressing their love of singing and music.

Once it became obvious their talent could not be held back, their parents decided it was time to sacrifice what they needed to in order to help pave the way for their children’s musical career.

Sending them for lessons in singing and musicianship, The Smith III released “Put a Stamp On It” as their first single. After a positive response, they headed into the studio with producer J-Sharpe to create Diamond In A Rock.

They were featured in Billboard magazine, Dec 2012 issue. With so many years in front of them it will be exciting to see where this young group of talent goes next.

You can get their album from The Smith III’s website or connect with them on Facebook or Twitter. - Middle Tennesse Music

Born in West Palm Beach, FL, The Smith III are the children of Jamaican and American parents. They started to display the love for singing at an early age, with the oldest, Jalyka performing everywhere, modeling and acting. Jalyka's two younger brothers followed in their sister's footsteps, performing for anyone and everyone. Their parents, at first re-focusing the children on academics, eventually decided to support their childrens' obvious gift. In steps Chuck Hemann at Palm Beach Sound Studio, who honed the kids' musicianship. Their voices have grown thanks to their vocal coach, Mrs. Eileen Herzop-Basin. The Smith III are committed, determined, and love what they do. Their debut single, “Put a Stamp On It” dropped in Summer 2012 and was received well enough than the trio recorded their debut album Diamond In A Rock, produced by J-Sharpe. Their success has earned them a featured spot in Billboard Magazine's December 2012 issue, calling the album "inspiring and fun." - Coyote Music

"THE SMITH III – YOUNG KIDS ON THE EARLY TRACK FOR SUCCESS"

The music bug sometimes does not wait for adulthood to bite. We all hear the stories of today’s top artists loving to perform at an early age. But what took so long to gain them stardom? Were they held back? Our latest find, The Smith III, is wasting no time in getting their name out there at an early age with goals of success.

The Smith III

The group from West Palm Beach, Florida is made up of three siblings of the Smith family. The surprise is that they are still so young and are already expressing their talents to the world. Jalyka 11, Dalyk 8, and Alyk 6 amazed their American and Jamaican parents with their ability to perform and harmonize without any formal training. Upon realizing that these kids could not be held back the family decided to sacrifice everything to help them accomplish their dreams. They all are focused on musicianship and voice training by their music teacher Mrs. Eileen Herzop-Basin and hooked up with Chuck Hemann at Palm Beach Sound Studio to help produce songs to showcase this talent to anyone that will listen.

The Smith III recently released their debut album Diamond In The Rock. The 11 track album is available on iTunes and Amazon. This is party pop record produced by the talented J-Sharpe. The opener ‘Born To Shine’ lets you know right away that you are in for a good time. The kids each take their turn at the microphone showing that this is no one kid show. With songs like ‘One Day At A Time’ and ‘Won’t Let You Break Me’ stress that The Smith III will not be stopped until they have their success. The standout single is ‘Put A Stamp On It’. Here we have a danceable song with vocals that lead you in all different directions. Go take a listen for yourself at: http://www.thesmithiii.com/ - Keith Pro- Indie Guru

"The Smith III: Diamond in a Rock"

At first glance, The Smith III don’t look old enough to be musicians, let alone aspiring ones out to chase their dreams of making music full time. This family band made of up of siblings Jalyka age 11, Daylk age 9, and Alyk age 6, have potential despite their young ages, with their own brand of kid friendly music that tackles such subjects as bullying and living in a single parent home. Since both topics are relevant to the latest generation of kids, The Smith III will find a young fan base who can relate to their message without the need for pushing the envelope like many adult artists today.
