Secular Era is a Rock band from Kirksville, Missouri, founded by Mike Sullivan and Drexl Bowie. Melodic, yet heavy, their style reflects influences from a wide range of genres, including Heavy Metal, Pop Punk, Synth Wave, and more. They can be described as a weaving between HIM, My Chemical Romance, and I See Stars, among others.
Their first work, Emotionless, was released in 2017, which blends the styles of Emo, Hard Rock, and Punk. The album Stardust Summer followed two years later with a shift towards a more Post-hardcore style. Since then, they have leaned into their Synth and Pop Rock characteristics with singles like "Dream in Static," "In The Night," and the music video "Ode to Ashes" which was featured on Unsigned Pop Punk's Super Awesome Music Video Show in November 2022.
The band released their second full-length album, Under The New Moon, in March of 2023. Notable acts they have played with include Conman Economy and Young Medicine.
