Bio
Kansas-based singer/songwriter Sapphire Son is best known for his electric onstage performances with only an acoustic guitar and his voice. But now after two years of waining performances due to a global pandemic he’s bringing a new Indie Pop/Rock bang. With sonic influences such as Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, The Milk Carton Kids, and ____ Sapphire Son is upping the ante with his live performances and bringing the big concert feel to every venue. Cory Anderson (Sapphire Son) was raised on a farm in Kansas, Homeschooled until the age of 16 then left home and school to pursue the art of performance. At the age of 18 he cut his teeth on the iconic Broadway strip in Nashville, TN. Making a living busking and playing bars in Nashville. Working behind the scenes at concerts for bands such as Aerosmith, Cory picked up on the ins and outs of the industry quickly. His time in Nashville led to a long four years of consistent gigging around the US playing from Rhode Island to California. Now residing in his home state of Kansas, organizing shows and working with local artists, Cory has become an accomplished live sound engineer in hopes to do his part to grow the music scene around him all while continuing to perform and captivate audiences everywhere.
