Local Band of the Day:
Ridiculas Trixx - Kelly Bliss (manager/multi-instrumentalist) formed this blended rock/country/blues band just this year while searching for a ‘certain sound for his tracks’ and someone to bring vocals, as well as help with the lyrical content, into his vision. Tirelessly searching for this person, he finally found Ronneca Lynn when she came to Kansas for an audition all the way from Ohio. Upon finishing her audition, she packed up and moved to Oswego, KS to put her heart and soul into the new endeavor. Now that’s dedication! Since their start, Kelly and Ronneca have always been present, while other members have come and gone. I have no doubt that this duo will soon find everything they are searching for to make their band complete!
Ever since the band started up, they have been fervently putting out single demos on their facebook page and reverbnation on a regular basis. They are up to fifteen songs now, each one giving you a taste of what’s to come. Ronneca’s bluesy, sultry old school rock voice draws you in with a touch of grit. Musically it ebbs and flows between different genres for each song, fitting amidst the lyrics like a glove. Ronneca says she “writes lyrics from personal life experiences, that inspire, and that have great hooks and grooves that keep you wanting more”. That they do! They are currently in the studio working on recording their first CD which will be out either later this year or early spring of 2016.
Their live shows are full of dancing, audience interaction, and general merriment with tons of smiles and laughter. Since their sound is multi-dimensional it’s sure to appeal to everyone. Ridiculas Trixx will be playing an ‘open to the public’ show at the Southeast High School in Cherokee, KS sometime in spring of 2016 with more information to be announced closer to the date! ROCK OUT WITH RIDICULAS TRIXX
Dat Wave Magazine had a chance to catch up with lead vocalist Ronneca Lynn of the band Ridiculas Trixx. Just to give you an idea of who Ronneca and Radiculas Trixx are, RIDICULAS TRIXX is a Indie Rock band from Oswego, Kansas. Founded by Kelly Bliss and Ronneca Lynn (Lead Vocalist/Songwriter/Composer. Dat Wave Magazine asked Ronneca to give us insight on how this special conglomerate was formed. "The love of music, writing poetry. My brother Perry Cash inspired me to realize I could sing. I started singing for family/friends, karoake, collaborated with a few artists. I was contacted over a year ago by Kelly Bliss. At that time he was Manager of a Christian Rock Band and Multi-instrumentalist. Kelly wanting me to be the Lead Vocalist. I felt i didn't have what he needed at the time, not to mention I lived in Ohio and Kelly resided in Kansas. Finally , one day I received another message via reverbnation from Kelly and decided to contact him to see what he was looking for. I decided to put my ALL in the band and packed up , left everything and headed to Kansas. Kelly re-structured the band and now we are RIDICULAS TRIXX " Ronneca says. Hence the union Ridiculas Trixx sound has evolved ,adding new members : B.C. Manic "Brent Chandler"(bass/vocals/songwriter/composer/multi-instrumentalist , and Chris Huston (drummer). Ronneca Lynn shares that Ridiculas Trixx is currently working on their very first CD! Releasing (RIDICULAS TRIXX) no later than April 2016. And, we are already working on our second CD as well. "We will be gearing up for shows, concerts and so much more. Also in the works a USA/UK tour 2016! More New music, updates, videos, concert schedule, etc coming soon".
