Re:WAVES attempts to broaden the lines of electronica. Kevin Young, a college student from southern New York, is the master puppeteer behind what has become another computer-driven life that he describes as "a piece of software that is fed music that it likes, and spits out weird interpretations of it, but still all coming from the same mouth." Coming from a background of strict classical and jazz performance, Young was given the option of continuing studying performance, or to take on a completely different avenue of music, opened up by new technology. He took the opportunity of modern music school to become the producer/songwriter that he envisioned.
