PolyCrisis

As of 2021, 7.837 billion people inhabit this planet that spirals around the sun. These occupants encompass the entire globe of the planet. There are so many barriers of communication between cultures and political and religious incumbents.  No matter what propaganda or hidden agenda that tries to divide us. While "They" try to make us think chaos and shedding blood and morals to our fellow people will misdirect us. One thing rings true. We have a universal language and that is music! 

We don't need to understand what dialect we speak but the message it conveys. We are here to speak this through the universal language. This is where it starts. Like the old familiar sound of plugging in your amp cord. And hearing the feedback from an amp stack resonate the air before an onslaught of musical medicine that Echoes through the airwaves. This is the start of the journey of Polycrisis.

Polycrisis came about by 3 founding members.  Reigning from Northwest central ohio.Potter, Luke and Trent. This a glimpse into those members.

Potter has fronted bands as a lead vocalist in such acts as Destracore, Sorrows Song and Potters Field.  20+ years of live shows as well as multiple record releases, he left his imprint on the Dayton local metal scene in the early 2000’s. The 2010’s brought Potter to Northwest Ohio and a new musical bond with Polycrisis bassist Luke Shaffer through Van Wert, Oh local metal band Sorrows Song that included an EP and live appearance at Woodshock 2012. Now stepping out of his comfort zone, Potter has strapped on a 6 string along with his vocals and is once again on path to change lives and kick ass.

Luke brings the 4 string thunder and doesn't miss a string. He has played in many groups and jam sessions. A majority of his career was as a freelance bass player for hire over the years.  With roots in funk, jam band, bluegrass, classic rock, hard rock and metal. Being in such original bands and projects such as. Sorrows song, confunktion junction and Potter's fields last project. Which brought life to Polycrisis. With his eclectic and unique style of bass it pushes the boundaries of a set genre.

Trent Pennell was born in Hocking hills Ohio. He grew up in a small town called South Perry. Trent moved at the age of 18 to Lancaster, Ohio. This is where his drumming career began. His step father was a professional drummer and helped him along all the way to the age of 19. Trent's first influence on drums was Huey Louis and the News. From there he began to play heavier rock music and started in his first real band and has played in churches, bars, night clubs, and festivals. Trent has been in a few bands in his life time, Djinn, Immentz, Second Nature, Through The Fall, If Tomorrow Dies, and Chelation. All good journeys never any regrets!  Music has always been his life and drumming has been the biggest release of energy and emotion for the hard times.

Polycrisis is starting 2023 out with a bang. With songs carried over from the last Potter's Field project. There is already new material written and more on the way. An EP and social media activity in the works. We are working hard on getting new material out so we can start playing out Live and bring it to the masses. We will not be bound to a specific genre. We are out to create musical art not be bound to a musical genre..
