platoBLACK is influenced by some of the music’s greatest innovators like Mos Def, Nas, Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi. Contributing to his music style, he exists as a mixture between conscious rap and alternative hip-hop. Citing The Autobiography of Malcolm X as his determination to impact the culture. He’s been on the scene for two years now but has been writing for three years. Leading him to collaborate with not only his fellow Rho Nu Sigma artists but also Pittsburgh’s Jimmy Wopo and Pet Zebra. Currently, he is working on a joint EP with JOHNIE5 titled Senior Night, as well as creating a short film using his own original music.
