PIND
is a solo Christian Rock artist from Anna, Illinois. Billy Pind formed his
first rock band in 1994. From that time till 2003 he was the lead vocalist and
guitarist in several different rock bands.   In 2001 he went through a
very dark and difficult time. After being suicidal he was diagnosed with severe
depression and given treatment.  During
that time he found that music was the best way to express his feelings and give
him relief from his depression.  In 2003
Billy found the best way when he surrendered his life to Christ.  After
that life-changing event, he began writing Christian rock songs.  Many of
the lyrics are themed around the life struggles, depression and anxiety he has
battled and how he overcame through the power of Christ.  Through his
God-given gift of music, Billy’s desire is to point others to Christ and to
help those who may be facing similar struggles.  Now several years later he has just finished
his first full length album titled “Set Me Free”. In this album release all of
the songs were written, performed, recorded, mixed, and produced by
Billy.  This project started in April of 2014. In order to make it happen
he first built a pole barn that included a 10x16 recording room. He then
designed and constructed a computer system to record on.  After that Billy
self-studied sound/recording techniques on YouTube and other websites and began
recording his album.  Because of a full-time job, making time for his wife
and children, and leading worship at church, there was very little free time
left to devote to this project.  Due to the time constraints most all of
the recording and mixing was done between 4 and 6:30 a.m. every day before his
full time job and at night after the kids were in bed.  Now with his album complete and a supportive
wife he is determined to make music ministry his full time job. “I know that
God has given me an incredible gift and I do not want to waste it”.
