Hailing from one of the most unlikely places in America for rap music, this trio represents the state of Maine like it is a job. Dylan “Kartoon“ Kay, Cameron “Cam Carl” Madore & “Ryan “Noxa” Durgin are known for bringing high energy and intensity to the stage that often steals the show. With a cult following that towers over other rap acts from Maine, Northern Lights Nation has made a mark not only on the 207 but also on venues all over New England. Influenced by artist like Tech N9ne, Everlast & SlipKnot it is not hard to see that NLN is very different and ready to make a lane for completely for themselves.

While Northern Lights Nation was formed in officially in 2009, these 3 have been making music together as far back as 2002. With well over a decade of recording and shows the 3 have developed a unique sound that is nothing short of “home grown”.  Cam Carl who not only records the group and is a MC also is the lead producer for the group and makes all of the beats that back the trio. With 3 albums and 2 mixtapes since 2010, Cam Carl has been shaping a sound that NLN can call their own.

Northern Lights Nation is now touring and pushing the newest release from them entitled “FILTH”. featuring 10 original tracks and featuring appearances from Stevie Stone of Strange Music INC & Bizzy Bone of Bone thugs-n-harmony. The album held the #1 local spot for all genres in Maine via Bull Moose Music for a month in February 2015 to March 2015. By combining elements of rap, metal and r&b, FILTH and its diversity in sound and topics makes sure to remind the listener that Northern Lights Nation is not a group of rappers who make rap songs but rather a group of artist making music.
