"ND 22 Live on North Dakota Today NBC"

ND 22 Live on KYFR Channel 5, Bismarck, ND - NBC-KYFR

"ND 22- Rock Is Red"

To find a native rock band that embraces that straight ahead hard rock sound ROCK IS RED has traditionally had to look above the U.S./Canadian border. The Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation on North Dakota is merely a hop skip and a jump from Canada and it's home to the band ND 22 whose bombastic heavy metal sound boasts a strong blues-based sensibility. Formed in 2013, the band - comprised of KEITH BIG CROW on guitars, vocalist TOMMY NELSON, IAN NELSON on drums, KODY FOX on guitar and JOSH RED FEATHER-RAMIREZ - cut their teeth musically in numerous bars an casino lounges. They've taken their electrifying live show beyond the the Dakotas and their original material is due for an official release. The tracks that have us the most exciting are the rapturous rock anthems 66, 44 TO THE 5 and SOMEWHERE. - Rockwired.com

"Mandaree band perfoms on national stage"

April 24, 2015 12:15 am • By Lauren Donovan

ND 22, a family band from Mandaree, will perform at 3 p.m. today on Stage 49 at the 32nd annual Gathering of Nations powwow, the world’s largest gathering of Native American and indigenous people, held in Albuquerque, N.M.

The band was formed in 2012 and blends rock 'n' roll and blues with modern overtones. Members of ND 22 — the name of the state highway going to Mandadree — perform original compositions and have appeared on local television and radio programs. Band members are Keith Big Crow, Ian Nelson, Tommy Nelson, Josh Red Feather and Kody Fox.

The Gathering of Nations powwow will host hundreds of thousands of people and more than 700 tribes from around the world. Participants will celebrate their culture and traditions through music, food and indigenous dress, including feathers, bells, jingles and fringes. The Gathering of Nations continues through Saturday at the WisePies Arena, also called The Pit in Albuquerque.

ND 22 will be among 34 bands performing more than a dozen genres of music.

Bio

ND 22 is a young , up and coming band from New Town, ND with band members having roots in the Black Hills area. We formed in May of 2013 having our first paying gig the same month. Since then, we have been steadily playing packed bars and casino lounges. We are in the process of getting to a real studio to record our songs, most of which we recorded ourselves already. We blend Rock N Roll and Blues with the heaviness of modern sounds. Our vocal range is a cross between STP and Johnny Cash, with modern overtones. We have plenty of guitar solos to keep everybody warm and entertained all night! We play everything from country to heavy metal to rock n roll to blues, keep you dancing all night!
