"Going Home" - Released 2004.

Mike Hammar and The Nails released their first album in 2004. The album included nine original songs, written and produced by band leader, Mike Hammar. Four songs on the record received airplay on college radio in California and on American Roots radio throughout Europe.

"Recipe for the Blues" - Released 2010

The band’s 2nd album, Recipe for the Blues was released in 2010.This record was mixed and mastered by Jeff Sanders, most notedfor his mastering work on Stevie Wonder’s Grammy Winning Albumof the Year Songs in the Key of Life. Three songs from this work,Recipe for the Blues, Suited for the Blues, and Down at the Junction, have beenfeatured on Sirius XM’s BB King’s Bluesville station on the StoneBlue and Juke Joint shows. The album has been featured on Worldof Blues and on National Public Radio with Mick Martin’s BluesParty as well as on college radio and European stations. All songs were written and produced by Mike Hammar.

Mike Hammar and The Nails are one of the hardest working original blues bands in the California blues scene. Since Mike put his crew together in 2001, the band has strived to achieve the lofty goal of writing, producing, and performing their music in the blues world. They released their first album, “Going Home” in 2004 which received airplay on American Roots Music Radio in Norway, England, Germany, Belgium, Canada, and on the college radio circuit here in the United States. Their second release “Recipe for the Blues” has been featured on Sirius XM’s BB King Bluesville on the Juke Joint and Stone Blue shows, college radio, and The World of Blues. This sophomore effort presents 12 eclectic blues tunes written and produced by Mike Hammar. Mike and his crew have had the honor of opening for some of the biggest names in modern blues. They continue to make their mark on the California blues scene with well crafted original music and heart felt performances. Mike's band consists of Sparky Gehres on the bass, Greg Merino on drums, Allan "B3blues" Carroll on the Hammond organ, and Tim White on the saxophone. This unique blues crew offers a refreshing new feel to a traditional American genre of music. Influenced by many blues styles, their sound is eclectic, enthusiastic, and energetic.
